1-5 Diiodopentane

We provide 1,5-diiodopentane, which is also its IUPAC name. Its molecular formula is C5H10I2 and molecular weight is 323.94. This chemical is provided with 97% purity and it contains copper as stabilizer. It is offered in liquid form and hence is provided in the packing of glass bottles. 1,5-Diiodopentane is used in the preparation of (iodoalky laminocarbene) tungsten complexes. It is also used as a crosslinking reagent for the purpose of investigating the cross-linking layer-by-layer films of biore ducible poly(2-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) and DNA.
